Financial Manager

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Manager to join our finance team. If you have experience in accounting and finance, with the skills to take ownership of key financial processes such as reporting, budgeting, and compliance, this role is for you. You’ll play a critical role in managing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic insights to drive decision-making and support organisational growth

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Oversee bookkeeping and cash book processing.
• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that comply with regulatory standards and align with organisational goals.
• Conduct financial analysis to provide actionable insights for management decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with tracking and reporting variances against budgets and forecasts.

Revenue Recognition

• Oversee existing billing and invoicing processes to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Oversee existing accounts receivable to optimise cash flow and mitigate risks.

Supplier Reconciliation

• Reconciliation of supplier invoices to ensure there is no cost leakage.
• Oversee accounts payable to optimise cash flow and mitigate risks.

Cash Flow Management

• Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure financial stability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage accounts receivable and improve cash flow processes.

Cost Management

• Analyse operating expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement strategies to optimise financial performance and resource allocation.

Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE and other tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Support external audits and address any compliance-related queries.

Financial Systems and Processes

• Manage ERP system, SAGE Evolution, to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and operations.
• Drive automation initiatives for billing, reporting, and other financial processes to enhance productivity.

Key requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in a professional accounting role, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, proactive learner, and ability to work well in a team.

📍 Location

This role is based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, with remote work flexibility. Candidates must reside close enough for periodic in-person collaboration.
